Melt filter element is a device used in the chemical industry, especially in the chemical fiber industry, to filter impurities and unmelted particles in polymer melts. The main function of this filter element is to improve the spinning performance of the melt and ensure spinning quality. The material of the melt filter element is mainly stainless steel, including stainless steel fiber sintered felt, stainless steel special mesh, stainless steel sintered five layer mesh, stainless steel sintered seven layer mesh, etc. These filter elements can be welded by argon arc welding and have the characteristics of all metal materials.
The design and manufacturing of the melt filter element take into account the characteristics of filtration accuracy, high temperature and high pressure resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, good breathability, large pollutant capacity, and high strength. They can be made into cylindrical or foldable cylindrical structures, where the folded filter area is 3-5 times the cylindrical area. In addition, the melt filter also has good mechanical properties, such as small pressure difference, large flow rate, and simple operation.
